some random and witty title

So I decided to get a job and a social life all in the same week. Talk about oil and water. I don't even know when to start since I've been so shit at updating. In short I'm so buggered..... and it's the cusp of the weekend! *gasp* I'm going to sleep through the weekend, thereby missing out on all the fun and games of said weekend!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnyway, this week has been awesome. I've seen people that I haven't seen for about 18 months, and it was great to just chat and catch up.

Mer is back in town, which is fantasic. I love hearing her voice on the phone - she is always so cheery! :) A bunch BHers went to Montana's and Timothy's on Monday and just talked. I like the big group of talking. Especially without really really loud people who dominate the conversation. There were some interesting topics covered. And it was awesome to have such a variety of opinions and perspectives on those topics - from the science pov and then the arts pov. High quality girls. :)

Then Tuesday was the start of work!! *dum dum dum* It was SO rough - trying to feel out other people's work manners while you have absolutely nothing to do, and no idea of how to help is taxing. So that day of horror afforded me an evening of peace and quiet with Paul. Which was about the only evening of quiet. However, I'm glad I had a change to see so many friends... it's been a damn long time.

On Wednesday we had a University One council meeting which was incredibly tense and mildly frustrating. Some people just god damn argue for the sake of god damn arguing! Those jackasses. Then it was off to a BBQ at Josh's place. That dude is so funny. Pure comedic gold. A group of YPers and myself segregated and started having bizarre conversations. Rather *cough* "colourful" topics. But I don't normally hang out with those specific people, so it was great to be with a different crowd. All the personalities really meshed! Worked well.... go team!

Then last night was the UMSU meeting which was eleventy billion hours long, however I only stayed for the first hour and a half. The new directors were being chosen and there was a whole lot of controversy around the subject. Considering one candidate for each position that had been forwarded to council was also on the victorious UMSU Prez and Vice Prez team, rumours of favouritism were running rampant. With just cause, of course - on a campus with almost 30,000 people, one would think that there would be other qualified people running....... not just the ones on Amanda's campaign team. So apparently the rest of the meeting was rough, with made it all so sweet that I wasn't there! After abandoning the meeting, I went to Andi's house, and her, Penner, Manon and I cooked some fine ass pasta, and just chatted. I know I keep on saying this, but the people I hang out with are so awesome! I totally hit the jackpot with friends. :)

There are plans in the works for the next week but I'm always open for suggestions!

I'm sure there is more to say, but for now, I'm napping.
