Hi team,

So, by the end of this weekend I'll be off!! *runs around the room with arms out making airplane sounds* I have mixed feelings - once the franticness disappeared when my mum decided she'd stay longer, I feel a lot calmer here. I'm having a great time - just being able to bum around myself and explore! And shop! yay!! I'm not a huge fan of shopping, but Australian stores rock so much harder than Canadian ones. And these are pure impulse buys - the best kind.

Apart from that, I'm getting my ass into gear to head home - wow, packing is total shithouse.

I really wish I had something more exciting to write, but I'm tired as all fuck.....

OH OH OH!! I bought John Farnham's "One Voice" which is a collection of his best hits. Old Man Jonny is an Australian geiser that's been around longer than.... well... most things.... how about longer than the 19th century? But he does have some classics. And some cheesy ass porn/elevator music. Oh good times! This is part of my big plan to The Education Of Jane re: Australiana. If anyone has any ideas about what else I can to re-Australianize myself, I'm sure you wacky Canucks will take it quite seriously, and let me know! :P Maybe I could work flash cards into this..... *wheels start turning*

I've been thinking a lot about my future, and I think for sure I'll be coming back here once my degree is done. Hopefully I'd drag Paul along as well, because I'd like him to experience it here. Canberra really is one of the most beautiful cities anywhere. And Sydney is great as well! So much culture and BEACHES! AND OCEAN! *happy sigh* oh YAY for sand, sea and surf!

I've decided I'll never trust my mum's opinions on anything again. For example: "No, that isn't an asteroid heading towards us", "If you wear the lime green it brings out your hair colour", "Really, the spider with the fangs and swords won't hurt you at all". And, the latest one, "You will have a GREAT time with Ross - he is an engineer and a REAL dreamboat". *buzzer sound* "Sorry ma'm, incorrect opinion, care to try again?" My god, remind me never to let my mother set me up on a date with anyone..... the first time was ignorance, the second time would be stupidness. This guy had hair -all- around his neck.... full 360 degrees of neck hair. *shudder* But I'm not one to judge on looks, but this dude couldn't hold a conversation. *yawn* It was like attack of The Thirty Foot Bore. In short, 'twas a -bad- experience!

And now I'm going to do something else, to be perfectly descriptive.
